31 Oct "Rebuilding the Future," the new project of Second Chance and Sports Without Borders.
"Rigiocare il Futuro, sport to restart": this is the name given to the project conceived by the associations Seconda Chance and Sport Senza Frontiere and supported by the Entain Foundation. The initiative aims to create within the Secondigliano prison institute a large sports citadel, a sports hub of excellence that offers inmates new opportunities for growth and reintegration into the workforce.
"The initiative is part of a project that over the years has seen us play a leading role in the development and financing of various projects in Italy. The collaboration with so many associations, so many private and public companies, and the theme of infrastructure are part of a process more than a project," stressed Andrea Faelli CEO of Eurobet during an interview with Agimeg, "and together with the theme of sports, which is very dear to us, they make this idea of creating new spaces for sports in the Secondigliano prison even more evident the commitment to social issues that the Entain group has.
Giuliano Guinci, head of Institutional Relations and Sustainability at Eurobet, explained how the "Regaining the Future" project came about. "The meeting with the association Seconda Chance offered the opportunity to combine passion for sports with social commitment. The project involves upgrading the sports facilities of the Secondigliano prison and starting a two-year training program for inmates. The goal is not only to improve their sports skills, but also to prepare them for reintegration into work."
Guinci emphasized the importance of partnership and collaboration between the public, private, and third sectors in implementing projects in the territory: "Having embarked on a path on infrastructure and partnership is a long journey that will probably take us the entire 2025. We are in the process of scouting the territory," he
concluded Guinci - we are meeting with many realities that are proposing new initiatives that we are preparing to support."
