Entain Foundation CSR Awards presented in Rome

Fondazione Entain, a non-profit organization established in 2019 to coordinate and support the Entain Group's CSR initiatives, announced today the winners of the first edition of its CSR Award – a prize in support of non-profit entities developing social inclusion projects, particularly through the practice of sports, across Italy.

The award ceremony was held today in Rome, at Palazzo Wedekind, after a meeting among representatives of institutions. Among the participants were Marco Perissa (Secretary of Commission VII - Culture, Science and Education and National Councilor of CONI, in representation of Sports Promoting Bodies), Annarita Patriarca (former Mayor and Regional Councilor in Campania, as well as member of the Social Affairs Commission of the Chamber of Deputies), Vito Cozzoli (president and CEO of Sport and Health Sp.A), Luca Toni – a former footballer, TV commentator and supporter of sport inclusion projects– and Entain Italia CEO Andrea Faelli.
The debate, moderated by SkyTG24's Helga Cossu, focused on actions needed to strengthen synergies between public, private and non-profit entities so as to improve the effectiveness of projects aimed at ensuring social inclusion through the practice of sports.
A total of 10 project proposals were received by the Entain Foundation for this first edition of the CSR Event.
The three projects "I Wheel" Rugby Camp by I Romanes, "The Great Relay" by Obiettivo 3 and "A Point Beyond Barriers" by Club Schermistico Partenopeo were selected for their particular innovativeness, internationality and spill-over effects on the community.
However, in light of the overall quality and high social impact of the projects presented, the Foundation decided to support them all with a total funding of about 250 thousand euros. (ANSA)
